Radio

Radio

Radios were once a popular medium that all people could listen to. The first radio was created by Nikola Tesla but since 1892 has been modified to what we think of as radios today.
I think that radios were important in their time because they could do things that had never been done before such as report news in "real time" (or as quickly as possible).
It's hard to imagine that within a decade, radios had been sold by the millions. Something that helped boost the consumption of radios was world war 1. Many people in America wanted to hear what was going on. I remember reading books that take place during the holocaust, and how the characters in the books risk their lives to listen to the radio reports of the war.
It's a shame that no one recorded early radio because it would have been gratifying to hear the early days of this dying medium.
